We offer straight and mixes of the following:
- Timothy – is commonly grown for feeding horses, goats, sheep and cattle. It is a perennial grass that can be harvested twice a year starting in June and then again in late summer. An average protein level is 7-9%.
- Orchard Grass – is commonly grown for feeding horses, goats, sheep and cattle. It is a perennial cool season grass that can be harvested three times a year starting in May and then again throughout the summer and fall. An average protein level is 8-12%.
- Alfalfa – is commonly grown for feeding horses, goats, sheep and cattle. It is a perennial legume that can be harvested four times a year starting in May and then again throughout the summer and fall. An average protein level is 15-23%.
- Brome Grass – is a cool season perennial grass that makes a nice soft hay with great feed values.
- Teff – is an annual grass also know as lovegrass that is growing in popularity with possible benefits for your limonitic and insulin resistant horse! Ask for more details.
